„Was Adolf Hitler und die Nationalsozialisten dem jüdischen Volk angetan haben: Vernichtung von 6 Millionen Menschen, Holocaust, darf nicht die Rechtfertigung Israels für die Diskriminierung des Palästinensischen Volkes sein.

Es ist ganz besonders wichtig, dass alle in Deutschland, in denen ein menschliches Hertz pocht, endlich erkennen, dass Kritik an der Politik Israels nicht mit Antisemitismus gleichzusetzen ist.

Ich habe nicht das Vernichtungslager Auschwitz, das KZ Ravensbrück und den Todesmarsch überlebt, um von sogenannten Antideutschen und Konsorten als Antisemitin beschimpft zu werden.

Konzentrieren wir uns besser auf den Kampf gegen Pegida, AFD und andere rechtslastige Gruppen, die zerstören wollen, was von unserer Demokratie noch erhalten ist.“

A message from the Holocaust survivor and political activist Esther Bejarano:

Dear friends,

„What Adolf Hitler and the Nazis did to the Jewish people: Murdering of 6 million people, the Holocaust, must not be Israel's justification for discriminating against the Palestinian people.

It is particularly important that everyone in Germany, in whom a human heart beats, finally realises that criticism of Israel's policy cannot be equated with anti-Semitism.

I did not survive the extermination camp Auschwitz, the concentration camp Ravensbrück and the death march in order to be abused by so-called anti-Germans and consorts as an anti-Semitic.

Let us focus better on the fight against Pegida, AFD and other right-wing groups who want to destroy what remains of our democracy.“

Esther Bejarano is one of the most famous Holocaust survivors. She lost her parents and her sister in the concetaration camps. She left Israel in 1960 because of the oppression afainst the Palestinians among other reasons. She is a singer, and with 93 years old she is still very active in the struggle against all forms of racism and fascism in Germany.

إنه لمن فائق الأهمية، أن يدرك كل من له قلب في ألمانيا، أن يدرك أن انتقاد سياسات إسرائيل لا يعادي معاداة السامية.

لم أنج من معسكر اﻹعدام في أوشفيتز، ومن معسكر الاعتقال في رافنبروك ومن مسيرة الموت، لكي يشتمني أنصار إسرائيل العنصريون بمعادية للسامية!

فلنركز جهودنا على التصدي لبيغيدا وحزب البديل من أجل ألمانيا وباقي مجموعات اليمين العنصرية التي تريد تدمير ما بقي من ديمقراطيتنا.“

إستير باجارنو هي من أشهر ناجي الهولوكوست، حيث قتل والداها وشقيقتها. غادرت فلسطين المحتلة عام 1960 عائدة إلى هامبورغ بسبب الاضطهاد الحاصل على الفلسطينيين. هي مغنية، وما زالت بعمر ال93 ناشطة في التصدي لكل أشكال العنصرية والفاشية في ألمانيا.
